OACCA advocates for fair and forward-looking child and family service policies on all levels of government. Our staff routinely meets with state administration officials, legislators, and community leaders around Ohio.
OACCA members are provided with updated information on state policy, including legislation and rules, as well as resources and tools necessary to be involved in policy formation. This includes meetings with state and county officials and participation in a coordinated commenting process for Administrative Code rule drafting, and meetings with state legislators during bill drafting stages.
Members receive legislative alerts and weekly emails. They are also invited to attend and participate in trainings, symposiums, institutes, and our annual OACCA Advocacy Conference.
Public Policy Agenda
Each year we release our annual Public Policy Agenda which includes our priorities for county, state, and federal public policies.
